Surveys and follow-up visits are close to hand, and you are welcome to talk to us in person.
REX is based at 35-37 Brent Street in Hendon, so this is our home patch. We survey, design and install residential solar panels and battery storage across NW4 and the neighbouring streets, with a written proposal before any work is agreed.

The useful result is a system you understand: how it fits, what it is expected to generate and where a battery may help.

We work out what the roof can take before talking about a system.
A battery is only suggested if your usage supports one.
Extensions and loft work are factored in from the start.
Access, scaffold and timings are agreed beforehand.
We go through generation and cost assumptions in plain terms.

Much of Hendon was built in the 1920s and 1930s. Semis and detached houses with pitched roofs are common, and many have been extended into the loft. That makes a roof survey more important than a rule of thumb.
Around Church End and The Burroughs the character is older, and the streets near Hendon Park and the Welsh Harp are more open. Different parts of Hendon mean different roofs, different shade and sometimes different planning rules.
Get in touch with the address, a bill or usage summary and a few roof photos. We will arrange a survey, then send a proposal covering layout, equipment, expected generation, access and the work included.
Yes. We are at 35-37 Brent Street, London NW4 2EF. Call 020 8089 1208 first so we can be there.
Where the roof belongs to the freeholder, the approval sits with them. Get in touch and we can discuss what is realistic.
It depends on system size, access and whether a battery is included. The proposal sets out the expected timing.
We agree access beforehand and tell you which stages need someone present.
Barnet Council has conservation areas in Hendon, including Hendon Church End and The Burroughs. A conservation area does not automatically rule out solar, but extra rules can apply. Check your address with the council. REX has a guide to solar in Barnet conservation areas.
Planning your solar installation
A conservation area does not automatically rule out solar. REX can advise on conservation matters and discuss roof options, with consent requirements confirmed by the council or relevant estate.
