EV Charging For Care Homes And Leisure Centres

EV charging for staff and visitors, planned around the way your site runs. REX installs charge points for care homes and leisure centres across London and the South East. We work around your parking, your electrical capacity and your day-to-day operation.

Overview

Charging That Works Around Your Site.

Care homes run around the clock, and leisure centres open early and close late. Staff arrive and leave at all hours, visitors come and go, and the car park has to keep working while any work is done.

We plan the installation around that. Chargers go where they help without getting in the way, and the work is scheduled to keep disruption to a minimum.

Who we work with

For The People Who Run The Site.

Care Home Operators

Offer charging to staff on shift patterns and to visiting family and friends.

Leisure Centres And Gyms

Give members and visitors somewhere to charge while they use the centre.

Charities And Not-For-Profit Operators

The workplace grant is open to charities as well as businesses, and we can explain what applies to you.

Facilities And Site Managers

We deal with the survey, the electrical work and the installation, and keep you informed at each stage.

Planning

Planned Around Access And Capacity.

We survey the site first. That covers the electrical capacity, where chargers can go without blocking bays or access routes, cable routes and any groundworks, and load management where the supply needs it.

We also talk through who will use the chargers and when, so the equipment and any payment setup match real use.

REX carries out the survey, the electrical work and the installation ourselves.

Payment

Usage And Payment Options.

Charging can be free for staff, billed to drivers, or open to visitors with payment. We set up the arrangement that suits your site, and explain who owns and maintains the equipment before anything is agreed.

Grants & funding

Help With The Cost.

Workplace Charging Scheme. Eligible workplaces can claim 75% of the cost of buying and installing charge points, up to £500 per socket and up to 40 sockets across their sites. It is open to charities and public sector organisations as well as businesses. GOV.UK says the scheme is funded until 31 March 2027, though the government can change or end it.

The grant covers parking for your staff and fleet vehicles, not visitor-only parking. Charities, public bodies and small accommodation businesses can also open grant-funded chargers to visitors and guests.

The organisation applies for a voucher before work starts and gives it to an OZEV-authorised installer. The installer deducts the grant from the invoice and claims it after the installation. REX is an OZEV-authorised installer.

Funded charging. Some sites may qualify for partner-funded or revenue-share charging. It depends on the site and a partner assessment. Ask us and we will explain what applies to your site.

Recent installations

Recent Car Park Installations.

In Uxbridge, REX installed 14 chargers with full groundworks: trenching to conceal and protect the cabling, and posts on concrete bases. In Southend-on-Sea, we installed 12 chargers across four triple posts, with the cabling concealed beneath the car park.
